Every once in a while I am asked to work “outside of my medium”, and this logo illustration was a perfect opportunity. The client wanted a throw back, 50’s style, pinup illustration. I dug out my bristol and inks and went to town. Working with inks is a challenge for me, but I certainly enjoyed it. As you can see from the sketches below our lady went through quite the transformation and lost a few pounds along the way. The illustration was then set to type by Jay Jones.
